February 2017

This was her last night snuggled up with him. I could go into the many reasons why we rehomed her, but I'll just say she was not a good fit for us.
She was a sweet dog that needed more than we could give her.

They made her a throne out of magnatiles. HAhaha.

That one time daddy said he was too tired to read, so Wesley read him every single Pigeon book....and daddy promptly fell asleep. At like 6pm.

 EPIC Valentines day battle.

The gloves. Heaven help me. I love him.

On watch duty.

Drumming along to the Moana soundtrack.

Not a perfect capture, nor a perfect morning.
BUT. I love our crew and our weekend brunch.
Even if there's never enough bacon and I never get to eat it hot.

A jedi is never without his weapon. Even in his sleep.

 Kids are weird.
They also like to turn the barstools on their sides and pretend they're in the millennium falcon.

Nine is challenging in ways I would never have imagined. But our time reading together always seems to get us back in sync. And occasionally we let sister join us.

January 2017

In an attempt to not forget everything. Because these are the precious days we'll miss.

My constant sous chef.

That weekend we said our goodbyes...only for her to end up not leaving....

First time sitting in the high chair, first time eating spaghetti. Both were a hit.

He could not stop drawing and coloring. It was awesome.

How many blankets does a 9 year old need? All of them.

 Learning tricks from Grandad...and Youtube.

His current favorites were anything by Dr. Seuss.

The last time she walked down the street to hang with us.
We miss her being our neighbor.
